How would you like to get paid while you hang out by the pool on a nice summer day? This might sound like the start of a sales pitch that is too good to be true, but let me stop you there. Passive Income is defined as money that is received on a regular basis with very little effort required to maintain it. It’s also true that a growing population of people make their entire living through the concept of passive income. So naturally at this point you might be asking yourself “How does one actually make money though passive income?”
I’ve been doing research in the area of passive income for a good year now, and I’ve compiled quite a bit of very valuable information to say the least. Since starting this blog, I’ve really started to actively pursue some of those passive income paths to test the waters so to speak. I’ll have more on that later, but for now I wanted to share five methods I’ve seen a lot of people using:
- eHow.com – Get paid every time someone reads one of your how-to guides.
- Affiliate Networks – Have a blog? Start making money and use some of that extra space to advertise
- Flip Websites – Make money by buying poor quality websites with good traffic and redesign them
- Sell ebooks – Create your own ebook on something you know and sell it through your blog/site
- Sell any product online - Almost any product you create can be sold passively through a website
A simple google search on any of these topics will yield many useful resources for you to read through. It’s important to remember that any of these methods require the proper time and quality of work to produce positive results. Feel free to contact me and let me know if you have any questions as well. Stay tuned for some additional posts related to my experience with passive income in the future. In the meantime, let the rest of us know what you are thinking. Leave a comment before you go!
