You may be surprised to hear that this is actually easier then it seems. Today, I’m going to share my top 5 tips for saving money on your business. Not only will you save money, but you’ll be more productive too!
Saving Money:
The reality of the situation is that there are many things you can do to save money each month with your business. You might have read about some other places or come up with some clever ones of your own. Here now are my top 5 that have really worked well for me over the past several months and allowed me to not only save money, but be more productive too:
- Use open-source software where possible
From Open Office to Skype, there are more high quality and useful FREE open source apps on the market today that can get just about any job done. Check out sourceforge.net if you haven’t already. - Utilize a VoIP phone system for your business
I got rid of my traditional phone line about a year ago and haven’t looked back. Services like Skype, Google Voice, and others make calling not only cheaper, but easier and with a lot more useful features! - Self promote your business
Promoting your business or site is important, but why pay someone else tons of money to do something you can easily do. With a little research and time, you can easily replace that job and become your own shameless self promoter! - Run as much of your business as you can online
Not only is it easier and more efficient to do most things online these days, but it is also cheaper in almost all cases. Figure out how you can perform current physical tasks online and you should start saving instantly. - Outsource to college interns
Sites like craigslist, elance, odesk, and so on are excellent resources for hiring cheap, but COMPETENT interns. You can save not only money, but a lot of time outsourcing tasks up to a certain complexity to these folks.
