We’ll look at just how he did it and highlight what lessons any upcoming entrepreneur can learn.

How He Did It:

Guy Kawasaki was born and raised in Hawaii.  He later graduated with a degree in Psychology from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California.  Guy spent several years early on in his career working at Apple where worked as a lead in marketing for the Macintosh product.  Guy would go onto leave the company and start his own software company, which he later sold.  Guy Kawasaki has since gone onto write several books including the very popular The Art of the Start, which focuses on entrepreneurship.   Guy also now runs a blog called How To Change The World, which is one of the highest rated sites on the internet.  When Guy isn’t writing for his blog or working on a new book, he can be found working with his venture capital firm looking for new and exciting startups to fund.

Lessons Learned:

  • You don’t have to have a background in entrepreneurship to become a entrepreneur. (i.e. Guy Kawasaki)
  • There are always many paths one can take to become a entrepreneur.
  • Many entrepreneurs often hold regular corporate jobs until they get some experience under their belt.
  • Identifying your niche and building upon it is crucial for marketing.
  • You must take action to see any results!
