Sometimes we forget that every successful entrepreneur starts at ground zero when launching a new business. I don’t know about you, but I can’t remember a time when the likes of entrepreneurs such as Steve Jobs or Bill Gates weren’t the mega successes they are today. Knowing that almost all entrepreneurs you read about today came from a place outside the world of entrepreneurship can really help to humanize your own journey to starting your own business and help ground your thoughts in reality instead of making them seem like a distant dream that is too far out of reach. That’s why I wanted to share a very interesting (and amusing) infographic, which highlights the first jobs of some of today’s most successful entrepreneurs so that you can see how they did in fact come from a very similar place to where you may be right now:

False stories that people mistake as facts can be trouble for anyone. Myths as they are called surround all facets of our lives. So much so that even doing something like starting your own small business is plagued with them. We all read about the statistics or facts of actually having a successful business. If you were to just look at the numbers, you might quickly get discouraged as many often do. Google Voice continues to be a popular choice for any entrepreneur running a small business out of their own home and how can blame them. It’s a free service with a free phone number and plenty of useful features. The only cost to the end user is for making calls, which similar to Skype is pretty cheap. While Google Voice is not a actual VoIP service by definition (yet!), it’s still a great product for any entrepreneur at home or on the go with their cell phone. Thanks to the powers that be and more so to friendly competition, Google Voice is not your only alternative. Entrepreneurs may be shocked to hear that there is actually another similar free service that goes by the name of Phonebooth, which could serve up some decent competition for the search giant. This is good news for you and me!
