Almost all the entrepreneurs I’ve talked to have told me the same thing, which is you can’t go it alone forever.  Many entrepreneurs often launch a start-up business with no official team to leverage for support.  This can work initially, but it can also quickly become a huge negative as your company begins to mature and grow in popularity.  The importance of team building should never be underestimated.  The sooner you start putting together a solid team of people, the better off you’ll be going forward.  Here now is an excellent quick video on the importance of team building, and how it can make a difference for your business.

Take a look at this 5 minute video:

I would also like to take a moment to throw in my two cents here as well.  You’ll want to make sure that the team you build isn’t too large.  A small team can be just as effective as a large one.  The important thing is finding the people that fit and hiring based on the amount of actual work that needs to be done.  Remember that team building is a great way to overcome your weaknesses.

Steve Wozniak (aka “The Woz”) can easily be considered one of the founding fathers of the technology space as we know it today.  An entrepreneur by any standards, Wozniak is the man responsible for inventing the personal computer.  Steve’s passion for technology and entrepreneurship paved the way for computers and other gadgets as you and I know them today.  In a recent video presentation given by Woziniak, he discusses how he came up with the idea for the personal computer and offers some pointers to any entrepreneur out there looking to start their own business!

If you want to see the full 30 minute presentation of this video, then be sure to head over to the link provided in the video for the uncut version.  I have often felt that Steve Wozniak is one of those people who is not given enough credit for the huge impact he has made to society across the globe.  So it’s always nice to see when he gets the chance to share his experiences and background with people across different generations.  He really is someone any entrepreneur can look up to.

Video is now the fastest growing area of the internet advertising market.  Sites like YouTube, Hulu, and others have continued to assist in the digital media explosion that the internet has seen over the past few years through video.  You can see examples of this first hand on major news sites such as CNN who have switched a majority of their main page content over to video featured stories as oppose to traditional text.  So what exactly does this mean to you?  Well, if you’re an avid internet entrepreneur and/or blogger, you’ll want to read on to see all the reasons why video blogging is a must! Digg.com founder Kevin Rose continues to be one of my favorite young entrepreneurs to follow.  I recently re-watched a interview that TechCrunch did with Kevin a few months ago and wanted to share it here for two reasons.  The first being that Kevin reveals a lot of details about how he took Digg from a small website to an internet sensation and explains all the steps in order, which is great for anyone looking for a real life example from an entrepreneur who has made it.  Second, it really helps to show that anyone  with a good idea and some hard work can make their dreams come true to say the least!

Maybe it’s just me, but I think often times we tell ourselves that no matter what we do we’ll never get to that level of success.  We often see that success as almost a whole different world that is out of reach!  The fact is though while it’s never easy,  it’s much more in reach than you might think. See for yourself!

Gary Vaynerchuk (pronounced: vay * ner * chuk) is the founder of the popular website Wine Library and even more recently now has branched out into the area of motivational speaker endorsing the idea of following your true passions and interests in life. You might know him as the wine guy. Look for more on Gary Vaynerchuk in the near future in one of our upcoming entrepreneur spotlights.

In the meantime, I wanted to share this video someone sent me recently where Gary discusses how you can use the web to become a success doing what you really care about.  Hopefully, this will wet your appetite for a full discussion on Vaynerchuk, which I’m currently working on.  Enjoy!

(Note: There is some minor foul language in this clip for anyone who might want to know – nothing major.)

Talk about excitement! He has some real energy behind his words, which I think really helps carry Vaynerchuk’s message across. As always, please leave a comment and let us know what you are thinking!  Thanks and have a great weekend everyone!
